Barista
The person who applies for this position has the ability to explain menu items to customers and offer suggestions, are responsible for courteously handling our POS system with guests, can maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times, has a positive attitude and is willing to work as part of a team, can assist with food service and ensuring guests orders are correct, will be trained to prepare and/or serve a variety of hot and cold beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, blended drinks, and teas, has the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Has the ability to work at a minimum of 15 hours a week and a maximum of 30 hours a week. Has the ability to be teachable and a desire to grow.
Is willing to make at least one-year commitment to working with us; being trained and attending trainings.
Lead Barista
The lead barista has a passion for coffee and the coffee industry. They provide quality customer service and demonstrated knowledge of coffee products, tea products, equipment, food service. The lead barista provides technical guidance to new team members and assists in the training program. The lead barista is a Person-in-Charge (PIC) and has the appropriate managerial health certificate from IDPH. They have responsibility for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she/they are responsible for making a difference to our customers by educating them about our premium coffees and teas. Lead baristas are instrumental in building customer relationships and fostering a positive and friendly store environment. The lead barista fulfills any other duties the owner/manager assigns and represents necessary & sufficient coffee in a professional manner. All team members are expected to support our core and guiding principles, and working agreements.
